Overview (resum en anglès): | |
This document contains the memoirs of my Bachelor¿s Final Project (TFG), which consists of the implementation of a series of new features in the Classpip environment.
The Classpip Project is defined as a set of applications which are aimed to implement gamification (a concept which will be explained more in detail in the Introduction chapter) in education centers¿ classrooms. It has been created in Universitat Poitècnica de Catalunya (UPC) but it is still in development, which is done by means of students¿ contributions with their Bachelor¿s and Master¿s thesis (TFEs). My contribution in this Project consists in the development of an activity register, with which different events of the application will be recorded in it (as game creations, game access, point assignments, for instance), and the development of a notification system, which will alert the students of these new recorded events. In order to carry out my part of this Project, I first did a technological concepts test, that is, a very simple first version of each section with which I achieved to overcome the learning curve of the required technologies to develop my part of this Project, as well as to understand its general functioning. Once I achieved it, I kept expanding each section with new concrete and more defined elements (previously studied and discussed with my director) and I kept building a roadmap with the final elements which would eventually compose my project. The obtained results are favorable in great measure, as the planning of what would eventually compose the project has been changing over time (adapting to the implementations which would be posible, the ones that brought many problems, the ones which couldn¿t finally be implemented, and so on). Therefore, for all these definitive elements composing the final roadmap, it has been possible to implement favorably the register of the different types of events and the notification system related to them. |
