Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
This project takes on previous work on air flow adaptation and mass flow measurement for a micro gas turbine engine during ground testing. The project aims at optimising the two-dimensional axis-simmetric design of a bellmouth and assessing its performances in a fully three-dimensional setup. The work plan will be as follows:

1) literature review on air intakes for gas turbine ground testing
2) optimisation of the two-dimensional axis-symmetric intake in terms of flow adaptation
3) simulation of the air intake performance with open-source cfd tools
4) assessment of air intake performances in the presence of side wind
5) assessment of air intake performances in ground proximity
6) assessment of the system of probe arrays for static and total pressure measurements for air flow evaluation
7) Prepare a budget for the construction and assembly of the probe-fitted air intake
