| The objective of the project is to develop an automated system
that can schedule repetitive drone flight plan operations in an optimal way from the upcoming Vertiports. The project assumes that a certain volume of operations would be requested, which should be fulfilled by a limited fleet of vehicles. The operations could be of different types: drones that depart a vertiport and will return to the same location as soon as they complete the operation; drones that depart but do not return; drones that arrive from other vertiports. Other types of operations may be considered if considered relevant. The key to the project is considering that there a number of limitations imposed by how U-space will function; which is, access to airspace should be granted before actually performing the flight. For that reason, it will be necessary to understand how drone operations will interact with U-space to attain the desired flight clearances. |
