Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
We will employ Montecarlo Stochastic Optimization method to enhance predictability on route studies by designing a software which output is the input route but with the different posible scenarios and their related probabilities. In these terms, once a route is input to the software, a series of simulations will be carried out by the optimization algorythm taking into account the parameters that have a greater weight on the route deviation with its probabilities.

Overview (resum en anglès):
The aim of the project is the design of an application to enhance the predictability of the routes of Volotea. The application must show as an output to the user the number of passengers that can be carried on each route in function of the two variables with greatest weight on the computation of number of passengers: wind magnitude for the route and temperature at the departing airport. As a secondary objective, the application should be authomatized in order to adapt the computation of one route to the whole network. The software employed for the design of the webpage has been C#, webpage developer extension. It is needed to make an emphasis on the result obtained, as we need to see it from a finantial point of view, for this reason, the most important result is the variability on the number of passengers that can be carried on each route. The inputs that we will enter to the application will be the origin and destination of the flight, type of aircraft for the study that can be searched also by registration, Great Circle Distance in case cannot be found on the database, period of study which can be summer or winter and type of flight: Positional, Charter or Regular. To end up with, mention that the results of the project have been positive and we have achieved an authomatized application that can be adapted for the computation of all the routes of the Volotea’s network in a future.
