Overview (resum en anglès):
This project develops a precision positioning system using Ultra Wide Band (UWB) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technologies to provide greater security in current aircraft parking methods at the airport.

One of the main technologies used is BLE that allows messages to be transmitted with very little consumption and therefore it is a system that can be continuously operational.

The other main technology is UWB, which allows through positioning calculation algorithms such as the Time of Arrival (ToA) or the Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA), to obtain the position with great precision, with an error of order of tens of centimeters. This technology consumes more than BLE, therefore it will be off and it will be BLE that will wake it up when it is necessary.

In addition, this project will also optimize the system used by UWB, in order to reduce consumption. The results are good, although for hardware reasons the system will need to be improved further.

The combination of both technologies, UWB and BLE, makes it possible to develop a positioning system with precision and that people in charge of maneuvering the aircraft can know exactly the location in real time and if it is necessary to correct the deviation.
