Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
El creixement de la ciutat de Tarragona dels últims seixanta anys
ha crescut transformat gran part del paisatge productiu en un
paisatge urbanitzat, sense atendre a la estructura agrícola
preexistent. Les infraestructures de mobilitat han fragmentat la
relació ciutat territori i la continuïtat del paisatge rural.

El treball, a partir del reconeixement de la estructura agrícola
tradicional, analitzarà l¿evolució del territori comprès pel
sistema productiu més proper a la ciutat de Tarragona: les Hortes
de la Pedrera i les Hortes del Rec Major.
En una segona part, es proposaran escenaris per tal de re
connectar l'ecosistema agrari, el sistema fluvial del riu
Francolí i la ciutat de Tarragona.

Overview (resum en anglès): The work, based on a historical analysis, aims to make known the importance that agriculture has had for the development of the city of Tarragona until the last century. One of the structuring elements of this landscape was the Rec Major. Today, although it is considered a protected architectural work as a Cultural Property and of Interest, it is losing importance and heritage significance for the people of Tarragona.

As a perspective of improvement for the future, possible strategies and action scenarios are proposed to initiate a transformation that consolidates the remaining landscape. It is considered appropriate to promote the creation of the agricultural park that the capital deserves, while recovering the environmental, social, and economic values that rural landscapes bring to a municipality of such prestige as Tarragona.
