Overview (resum en anglès):
This project aims to study the viability of an emergency heliport in order to satisfy the forest firefighting near to the region of Urgel including itself. Moreover, the technical design of the heliport is done by analyzing all relevant aspects of a permanent surface-level heliport. It was decided to study this case to meet the needs that fire extinguishing may currently have on the fire brigade in that area with the purpose of providing the logistical support unit and the air resources of the Generalitat of Catalonia the main information necessary to draft a future heliport director plan. This project is not based on the development of all sections of a heliport rules but on the practical analysis marked by the needs and requirements of the heliport design. For this, the study is divided into chapters where issues like viability and siting, design requirements, analysis and calculations for the heliport as work procedures, pavement, infrastructures and urbanization, procedures of the legal framework for the establishment of the heliport and finally, a full and breakdown cost analysis.
