Overview (resum en anglès): | |
The goal of this project is to develop a hybrid mobile application that interacts with an instance of the open source ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tool called Odoo that is running in a server.
Particularly, the solution aims to improve the management of the delivery order documents of a transportation company that wants to introduce copies of their delivery orders as image files by capturing photographs of the delivery order documents instead of manually scanning them. These images are not uploaded into the server as mere image files but they are integrated with the ERP platform as registers of the models provided by the aforementioned platform so they can be fatherly processed in the ERP platform if desired. The methodology to develop the solution has been as follows. First, it was deployed an instance of the ERP platform Odoo to a local machine and configured according to the business requirement needs. After ensuring that the Odoo side had been installed the required features to move on, it was the time for learning some of the technologies that come into play for this project such as AngularJS. Once I had acquired a basic understanding of the new skills needed to continue, it was started the actual development of the mobile hybrid application with Cordova, AngularJS and Ionic. Two personal mobile phones have been used as development and testing devices. The first step was to connect both sides (mobile application and Odoo server) and once both parties were successfully connected, it began the development of the actual functionalities of the Mobile ERP System such as creating and deleting the delivery orders. Even though these have been the main stages followed during the development of this project, they have been required several changes and adjustments to all of the components that take part on the system of what step of the development process they were introduced at. The obtained result has been the integration between a hybrid mobile application and an instance of an Odoo server that lets the users to upload images of the delivery order documents to an ERP in an integrated way and on the go with their own personal phones. |
