| This work presents the preliminary design of the electrical interface of an orbital payload for studying mammalian embryonic development in space. The proposed architecture focuses on the Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS) and the Communication Subsystem, enabling autonomous power supply, control, monitoring, and data exchange between the payload and the capsule. A centralized On-Board Computer (OBC) is selected following a trade-off analysis to coordinate the experiment subsystems. A lithium-ion battery-based EPS is evaluated as a possible solution for subsystem power distribution. In parallel, PUS-C communication protocol is defined for data and command exchange between the capsule and the payload. The proposed design demonstrates technical feasibility and provides a foundation for future engineering model development and optimization. | |
