Overview (resum en anglès):
This Final Degree Project consists of the development of a desktop application (Windows and macOS) for the remote control and monitoring of industrial soldering equipment, specifically the Control Unit HD (CU) developed by Izum Technologies. Communication is established through a point-to-point RS232-RS232 connection using a proprietary protocol. This protocol follows a Master/Slave architecture, in which the application acts as the Master by sending query and control commands, while the station operates as the Slave by responding to those commands.

The objective of the project is to improve the user experience of the CU's native interface, which presents graphical and memory limitations. To this end, a desktop-oriented interface is designed, aligned with modern desktop application standards and based on a clear visual hierarchy. The application provides a more powerful and customizable data visualization system and centralizes relevant information on a main screen. In addition, it enables the management of the station when it is integrated into a robotic system.

As a result, the developed tool overcomes the limitations of the original interface and enables remote control and supervision of the station from a computer. Finally, this work lays the groundwork for future developments, including more modern communication methods (USB-USB or wireless), the creation of new protocols, and the development of a mobile application for control from portable devices.
