| Overview (resum en anglès): | |
| This Bachelor's Thesis presents the design, development, and optimization of a functional, low-cost, dual-axis solar tracker prototype, aimed at maximizing efficiency in photovoltaic energy capture. Starting from an open-source hardware platform (Arduino), the commercial software was completely replaced to implement an advanced hybrid control algorithm. This system combines the mathematical calculation of the sun's astronomical position using Cooper's Equations (open-loop) with real-time correction using LDR photodetection sensors (closed-loop), successfully correcting mechanical and weather-related deviations. Furthermore, the project integrates power telemetry using the INA219 sensor and an energy management system based on sleep modes to reduce the device's baseline power consumption. Experimental results demonstrate the technical feasibility of the prototype as an efficient solution for isolated IoT systems or as an educational platform in the field of renewable energy. | |
