Overview (resum en anglès):
This project presents the design and implementation of a web application for the remote control and monitoring of a DJI Tello drone in a local network environment. The main objective is to provide an accessible and modular system that allows the user to operate the drone from a web browser, without requiring a dedicated native application. The developed solution separates the system into two independent components: a WebApp responsible for the user interface and a base station responsible for communication with the drone, command execution, telemetry management, route handling and video transmission. This architecture improves modularity, simplifies maintenance and allows the interface and the control logic to evolve independently.

Communication between the browser and the base station is performed through HTTPS and Socket.IO, while the interaction with the DJI Tello is handled through the TelloLink control library and the drone UDP interface. The system includes functions for connection and disconnection, takeoff and landing, keyboard flight control, telemetry visualization, route management and position representation on a two dimensional map. A real time FPV video channel has also been integrated using WebRTC and aiortc. The video stream is received by the base station from the drone through UDP and delivered directly to the browser through WebRTC, reducing dependence on less efficient streaming mechanisms.

The application has been designed to operate completely within a local network. The use of mDNS enables devices to access the service through a local hostname, simplifying access from computers, smartphones and tablets. The project also includes automatic installation and launch scripts, local HTTPS support and a responsive interface adapted to different screen sizes. The final result is a functional platform for controlling and monitoring a DJI Tello from multiple devices, while providing a modular foundation for future extensions such as more advanced route planning, additional telemetry processing or new autonomous flight functions.
