Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
El treball consisteix en un anàlisi teòric de les diferents aeronaus més importants que s'ofereixen en el mercat de l'aviació comercial actual.

Algunes de les preguntes més importants sobre les que giraria el projecte és: En cas de que haguéssim de fundar una aerolinia comercial, per quin fabricant ens inclinaríem? Quin tipus d'aeronau?

En primer lloc, l'estudiant haurà de realitzar un petit estudi de mercat per valorar quin tipus d'aeronau (bàsicament en funció de la capacitat i l'abast necessari) caldria triar. Això és possible fer-ho tot analitzant les corves de payload y les possibilitats que ofereixen els diferents tipus de models (enteneu que tots els constructors d'aeronaus dissenyen avions amb característiques similars sempre per cobrir certes necessitats típiques de les aerolínies). Una vegada triades les característiques bàsiques de l'aeronau, s'hauria de comparar les diferents opcions que ens ofereixen els constructors més famosos i triar quin seria el més adequat.

Un bon anàlisi podria contemplar realitzar una comparació entre les opcions més sòlides com podrien ser: Airbus, Boeing i, el més interessant des del punt de vista econòmic, algunes de les recent aeronaus de constructors xinesos. Seria interessant veure si aquestes últimes són tan competitives a nivell qualitat preu i si la seva tria estaria justificada.
 
Overview (resum en anglès):
This thesis examines the selection of an initial aircraft fleet for a hypothetical European low-cost airline operating point-to-point routes in the short- and medium-haul market. The study is based on the idea that fleet choice is not only a technical comparison between aircraft but also a strategic decision linked to the airline's route network, expected demand, operating model, and long-term risk.

Three narrow-body aircraft are considered: the Airbus A320neo, the Boeing 737 MAX 8, and the COMAC C919 ER. The comparison is built around a defined mission profile and includes technical, operational, economic, regulatory, and strategic aspects. The analysis considers factors such as capacity-demand fit, payload-range capability, fuel efficiency, airport compatibility, turnaround performance, operating costs, certification status, programme maturity, and support network availability.

The methodology follows an applied comparative approach. First, the thesis reviews the background of short- and medium-haul air transport, low-cost airline operations, narrow-body aircraft development, and fleet-selection criteria. It then defines the case-study airline and compares the selected aircraft against the mission requirements.

The results indicate that the Airbus A320neo is the most suitable option for this specific case, mainly because it offers a strong balance between operational performance, flexibility, market maturity, and lower implementation risk.
