Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
The aim of this project is to calculate the structure, fatigue and composite materials to the structure of the body and other parts of the eVtol. This structure will provide the optimal durability of the structure and the necessary strength for all phases of the flight. And a durability of 30 years and overhaul every 4-6 years.
In addition, the Project will need to develop weight calculations of the two differents configuration of the aircraft. Passengers (7pax + 1 pilot) and Medevac.
The work plan will be as follows:

0) Study the durability and strength to the current development of body/airframe.
1) Study the others parts of the aircraft. Wings, Tail, nose, engines estructures and supports.
2) Retractid Landing gear study.
3) Windows and doors fatigue points.
4) Team work with the company and other TFG's Aerodynamics, propulsión. And the materials and structural calculations research group from the UPC eetac.

Overview (resum en anglès):
In recent years, the concept of urban mobility in large cities has been evolving towards a specific type of aircraft. These aircraft are characterized by their very specific functional capacity, vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, and the replacement of conventional fuel with electric batteries. That is why they are named electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL).

ONAerospace is currently undertaking the design and prototype of an aircraft with these characteristics, primarily intended for rescue and medical missions.

The purpose of this project is to design and verify the internal wing structure of ONAerospace eVTOL during the cruise phase while seeking to optimize the weight of the wings. Thus, together with the aerodynamics team responsible for selecting the wing profile, a first functional wing design will be determined.

The methodology used for this project is based on iteration and subsequent optimization of designs to achieve acceptable deformations and stresses within the established parameters. Two programs, SOLIDWORKS and ANSYS, have been used for this purpose. SOLIDWORKS is widely used in the aerospace industry. This 3D design software has been used for the several wing redesigns and also to calculate their respective volume and weight. ANSYS, on the other hand, is a software with multiple functionalities, primarily used for Finite Element Method (FEM) structural analysis. It has facilitated the simulations to obtain different stress and deformation distributions along the wing structure, subsequently verifying its structural validity.

Thus, a wing internal structure with sufficient strength and deformation resistance has been validated, ensuring it does not affect flight operations and maintains structural integrity without jeopardizing the overall eVTOL structure.
