Es proposa el disseny i desenvolupament d'un sistema de mesura i control del grau d'oxigenació de la sang, i d'aquí poder extreure altres paràmetres fisiològics com el ritme cardíac.

Overview (resum en anglès): | |
The aim of this project is the realization of a study to determine the possibility of pulse oximetry measurements in atypical locations.
Pulse oximetry is a non-invasive monitoring technique used to estimate the measurement of arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2). The reading, obtained through pulse oximetry, uses a light sensor containing two sources of light (red and infrared) that are reflected to a photodiode. The amount of red and infrared light reflected are compared to obtain the percentage of SpO2. First of all, starting with a commercial reflectance sensor, will be design an acquisition and processing system to measure in atypical locations (commercial sensors are designed a few locations, finger, forehead ) Once the system has been designed, several experimental tests will be design to validate the SpO2 measure of the proposed locations. Another point of the project is a study of the interferences that affect pulse oximeter. At the end of this project are presented some future lines of work. This chapter shows two future projects. One of them is related to the improvement of the system created in this project. The other is about system adaptation to other applications. |
