Overview (resum en anglès):
The aim of this project is the integration of an authentication biometric system.
The biometric system has been done by Eurecat and the electronic voting
system has been done by Scytl. The project allows us to authenticate on the
electronic vote service with the biometrics parameters. The options we have
choose are two. The DNI3.0 that contains the user photo's. This photo is
compared with the photo that is taken in the same moment by the user with the
mobile phone which is going to access the platform to vote. The second with
the fingerprint sensor that the new mobile devices have.
The first objective will be to connect the electronic voting system with the
biometric authentication system. We choose the protocol SAML 2.0 for the
integration between these two systems. This protocol allows us to integrate
safely the service providers with the identity providers. Specifically, the user will
be authenticated with the application of Eurecat installed on his mobile phone.
This app will redirect, later, the user to the voter system.
The second objective will be to use the same systems of the first objective, but
change the protocol and the type of biometric authentication to be used. The
protocol we will choose in this case is the UAF by FIDO.
Later, we will see the difference of these two protocols, and the advantages
and disadvantages. To finish I will explain the difficulties and conclusions of this
project.
