Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
The proposal for the regeneration of the Härmälä area (Tampere), is justified by the need for a transformation of this perished space to a new, more sustainable and revitalizing urban model. At the moment this area is being used as a campground where the land use is inefficient, the facilities are deteriorated and with a total disconnection from the environment. Its strategic location on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi, the proximity to the historic center and the future construction of the tramway, offers us the opportunity to revalue this area.

This proposal will propose a balance between the need for new housing construction, the use of the landscape as a tool to promote coexistence and sustainable tourism with the renovation of the campsite. In addition, it will allow the incorporation of the principles of sustainability, energy efficiency, biodiversity and sustainable mobility.

This proposal aligns with the strategic goals of the city of Tampere, promoting controlled urban growth, sustainable tourism and heritage preservation. The progressive implementation of this project will ensure its economic, environmental and functional viability, becoming a replicable model of sustainable urbanism in natural environments.

Overview (resum en anglès): This TFG proposes a sustainable urban regeneration for Härmälä, the urban district of Tampere (Finland), where population growth and poor camping conditions demanded a new balance between tourism and residence.

This project has been guided by the Finnish principle of luontopositiivisuus (natural positivity) treating the landscape as a primary structure by using those natural elements and dynamics that could be a driver towards the form or programme, while the materiality reinforces the idea of regional identity creating a tactile dialogue between the built elements and the natural landscape and adapting the climate as a cultural value.
