Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:

Overview (resum en anglès): Agrivoltaics has emerged as an alternative approach to combine agricultural production with photovoltaic energy generation, optimizing land use while modifying crop microclimatic conditions. In this context, the aim of this study was to determine whether different experimental agrivoltaic environments influence the physioproductive response of Maravilla lettuce variety (Lactuca sativa L.).
The experiment was conducted at the UPC Agròpolis experimental station under three cultivation conditions: conventional photovoltaic panels, semi-transparent photovoltaic panels, and an uncovered control area. Plant height, size and leaf number were monitored weekly over a six-week growing cycle. Physiological and post-harvest analyses included the SPAD index, relative water content, plant shape, and calcium, potassium and nitrate concentrations. Fresh weight was used to evaluate productive yield. Additionally, the effect of cardinal orientation on growth and nutritional variables was assessed. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and analysis of variance (ANOVA).
The results showed significant differences in the temporal evolution of growth variables. SPAD index and relative water content also differed significantly among environments, while nutritional composition showed significant differences in calcium, potassium and nitrate concentrations. In contrast, plant shape and fresh biomass did not differ significantly among agrivoltaic environments. However, outer-row plants showed higher fresh weight than inner-row plants in the APV and Semi-APV treatments. Cardinal orientation also influenced some growth variables, with differences observed in plant height, projected area and leaf number.
Overall, the findings indicate that agrivoltaic systems partially modify the physioproductive response of Maravilla lettuce variety, mainly affecting growth dynamics, physiological status and nutritional quality without significantly reducing biomass production or modifying plant shape at harvest. These results support the potential of agrivoltaic systems as an alternative compatible with lettuce production, although longer-term trials involving different varieties and environmental conditions are required to confirm and extrapolate these trends.
