| Se analizará la capacidad y/o demanda actual del Aeropuerto Málaga-Costa del Sol con la finalidad de buscar soluciones y mejoras en cada uno de los procesos aeroportuarios para ampliar la capacidad en dicho aeropuerto, ya que está cerca de su capacidad máxima por el gran crecimiento de la demanda en 2023 (llegando a 22,34 MPax). | |

| This project proposes possible changes and improvements in airport processes with the aim of expanding the airport's capacity without the need to create a new terminal. The proposal to study a possible expansion is given by the great growth of the Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport.
Process improvements focus on passenger flow management, agreements with airlines to expand self-check-in technology, and advances in facilities and infrastructure. All of this, every improved process, is represented with a simulation using a program called Simio. However, before deciding on the improvements made, the current situation of the airport is analyzed. Then, a study of passenger traffic is developed based on the data offered by the online platform FlightRadar. From this data, and with the help of Excel, different results are obtained. Also, another study that is carried out is the verification of the capacity of the facilities following the steps described in the ADRM incorporated by IATA in 2004. Finally, the results and changes obtained with an approximate budget proposed for the Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport are detailed. |
