In recent decades, technology has completely transformed the way we communicate, participate in leisure activities and enjoy free time. This Final Degree Thesis aims to expand the already existing application EETAC Go, an application designed to promote leisure and culture at the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (EETAC). Inspired by augmented reality games such as Geocaching and Pokemon Go, the app allows users to complete challenges related to the culture of the university campus using QR codes.
This project is divided into different chapters, starting with the project proposal, the objectives and the work plan. Subsequently, it describes the architecture of the system, the structure of the data with which the application works and, finally, it describes how the expansion of the application is carried out. This expansion proposes the scalability of the platform to other university campuses, with the possibility of creating entities that create and manage challenges, news items and publications.
Finally, this This Final Degree Thesis explores the technologies and tools used to develop the application, including a sustainability study and a final conclusion where the limitations of the project and possible future improvements are discussed.
UNIGO!, as an evolution of EETAC Go, is born with the ambition of creating an attractive, functional and adaptable application, where the main objective will be to promote leisure and culture on the university campus.
