Overview (resum en anglès): | |
A result of previous historical events, the older age group has had some trouble adjusting to modern life. First of all, this generation of individuals has been inundated by a plethora of new equipment, technologies, and a new style of daily living as a result of the technological revolution, where mobile devices or the vast explosion of the internet and the current interconnected world appear.
As a result, most elderly people are condemned to a routine and solitary life, leading in several cases to depression or accidents related to loneliness. This last aspect has been aggravated by the devastating situation experienced with the pandemic situation last year, where a large number of elderly people have suffered the consequences of domestic isolation, losing contact with their loved ones and being forced to remain at home without anyone. In response to this circumstance, efforts are being made to bring this population in a tiny way to this increasingly connected society, where it is almost impossible to carry out daily tasks like scheduling a doctor's appointment without a device or internet connection. To this end, the mobile application "Casal A Casa" has been developed in collaboration with the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa. his application intends to give users access to all the events scheduled by the Terrassa City Council as well as the option to sign up with just one click. In this project we will carry out a pilot test with 30 users located near the Cap Est where we will observe the behavior of the application in a real environment and its impact on the aforementioned collective. |
