Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
L'any 2015 es va iniciar la sèrie d'observació diària de núvols homogenitus alts a Catalunya, originats per les aeronaus que volen als nivells superior de la troposfera (deixants de condensació). El treball té dos objectius principals. El primer, analitzar a diferents resolucions temporals (diària, mensual, estacional i anual) l'evolució de les octes d'aquest tipus de núvols en els gairebé 10 anys d'observació (2015-2024) a la Selva del Camp (Tarragona). El segon, per aquells episodis diaris, setmanals o mensuals que presenten una coberta de deixants de condensació superior a 3 octes, es relacionarà amb la situació sinòptica dominant en aquell moment o període. S'investigarà si existeix relació amb alguna variable meteorològica, com l'altura geopotencial, la temperatura en diferents nivells de la troposfera, o indicadors de frontogènesi, amb l'objectiu de trobar un indicador que permeti pronosticar la formació i persistència d'aquest tipus de núvols antròpics.
 
Overview (resum en anglès):
This study analyzes the formation of homogenitus clouds in the area of La Selva del Camp during the period 2015-2024, and how atmospheric conditions and air traffic may influence the formation of high homogenitus clouds. The main objective is to determine to what extent air traffic activity affects the frequency and extent of these clouds in the study area.
First, the necessary conditions for the formation of natural and homogenitus clouds are presented, as well as the different types of each. A review is also made of the impact of clouds on the Earth's climate system, with special emphasis on high homogenitus clouds and their influence on the albedo and the Earth's energy balance, to assess whether they contribute to global warming or cooling.
To study the main objective, a database of homogenitus cloud observations made by an observer-belonging to the Xarxa d'observadors Meteorològics -in the study region during the indicated period is analyzed. This analysis is carried out across different time scales to identify recurring and repetitive temporal patterns that explain the presence of these clouds. Additionally, these data are compared with information about cruise-level air operations from nearby airports with flight routes that pass over La Selva del Camp, in order to establish correlations between the number of air operations and the formation of high homogenitus clouds.
Finally, this study also includes an analysis of the synoptic situation of the area at different atmospheric levels (at the surface, in the middle troposphere, and at cruising altitude), with the aim of assessing how synoptic conditions at different altitudes influence the formation of high homogenitus clouds.
