Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
El treball consistirà en la quantificació de l'impacte ambiental
pel que fa a la despesa d'energia elèctrica que pot a terme la
creació de criptomonedes mitjançant la mineria i altres activitats.

Overview (resum en anglès): The growing popularity of cryptocurrencies has made me wonder if they can really be an alternative to conventional currencies from an environmental perspective. This work gives context to cryptocurrencies and the technologies used to create and trade them to later enter into a review of the literature dedicated to the environmental impact and energy sustainability produced by them. The results are shown as electricity consumption and CO¿ emissions, this energy consumption is mostly given by the mining operation. We determine that they are a danger to sustainable development, if they continue to grow, could become a major threat to the environment.
