Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
El malbaratament alimentari és un dels grans problemes que pateix
el món en l'actualitat, on gairebé 1/3 de tot el menjar que es
produeix al món es malbarata. El treball final de grau se centrarà
en l'estudi dels aliments que són descartats al centre de
distribució alimentària concretament focalitzar-se en l'estudi de
fruites i hortalisses. Amb aquest treball es pretén estimar el
volum de menjar aprofitable que es llença i d'aquesta forma saber
quan malbaratament alimentari hi ha al centre de distribució
alimentària i trobar alguna solució.

Overview (resum en anglès): Food waste is a big problem that humanity has to deal with. With today's human society where food is produced for mass consumption, and the food chain becoming more complex, this means that there is rejection of food that is in a good condition. According to the FAO, a third of all food produced in the world is wasted.
The aim of the project is to quantify and analyze the food waste in a distribution center, and with this to be able to determine if there is really a food waste in fruits and vegetables. And also to know the tons of food that are discarded, although being in good condition, and that may have other uses. The project also makes an effort to update food waste data, as there are no recent studies on the subject.
