Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
El projecte gira entorn a la posada en marxa i validació d'un
dispositiu d'autotoma per a la detecció del Virus del Papiloma
Humà com a prevenció de l'aparició del càncer de coll d'úter, en
dones d'entre 30 i 65 anys. El objectius específics del treball
seran:

1) Validació del kit comercial Papilloma Strip per la detecció de
soques de VPH en mostres obtingudes per les pròpies pacients
mitjançant dispositiu Evalyn Brush (tampó vaginal)

2) Comparativa entre mostres obtingudes per la pròpia pacient +
detecció de VPH vs mostra obtinguda pel facultatiu + citologia en
el cribratge de coll d'úter.

3) Avaluació de l'acceptació del dispositiu mitjançant enquestes
de valoració a les pacients.

Overview (resum en anglès): The present study focuses on a method for HPV screening with the use of the Evalyn Brush self-sampling device used by the women who are part of the study. With this method, very reliable and fast results are achieved and allows to determine infections of HPV depending on their oncological risk which can be high, medium or low. For the HPV typification, DNA was extracted from Evalyn Brushes and 37 different types of the virus were analyzed by PCR followed by hybridization using nitrocellulose strips. The results obtained in the laboratory validate the commercial kit from Operon company for HPV screening. A satisfaction questionnaire allows to know the acceptance by women about the self-sampling device Evalyn Brush. Also, the concentration of DNA obtained from the brushes of the device validate Evalyn Brush as a good biological sample collector.
