| El projecte té per objecte l'avaluació de la viabilitat de la càrrega aèria a Lleida-Alguaire
des d'un enfocament múltiple: operativa aèria, logística de mercaderies, financer i perspectiva socio-econòmica. Per tant, comporta l'anàlisi de la indústria de la càrrega aèria i la seva particularitat en l'entorn de Lleida-Alguaire, la operativa aeroportuària i de l'aerolínia, també dels altres actors involucrats, la viabilitat econòmico-financera i els impactes en el territori. |

| The main objective of this work is to analyze the viability of air cargo at Lleida-Alguaire airport. Since its inauguration, this airport has been exploring different business opportunities that boost activity in its facilities. One of the recurring ideas has been to explore the potential of air cargo to give way to local production as a driving force. The work shows that the characteristics of this sub-sector of transport apply over long distances.
This sectoral characteristic consisting of long distances that are flown with large aircraft leads to the need to expand the infrastructure. Therefore, the need to expand the current runway at Lleida-Alguaire airport will be studied to be able to support the operations of the characteristic aircraft. If this expansion is necessary, it will be evaluated using an economic metric, that is to say, the number of operations required will be calculated in order to recover the investment made in the runway expansion. At the same time, the existing production in the area of Lleida will be analyzed and it will be assessed if there is sufficient load in this province to satisfy the estimated number of transport operations, taking into account that a small part of this production is destined for consumption local Finally, the price of transport from Lleida-Alguaire airport to distant destinations will be calculated and it will be checked if this is in an acceptable range for remote markets. By following all the steps described above, a definitive conclusion can be reached about the viability of air cargo at Lleida-Alguaire airport and under what conditions it could occur. |
