As part of the Vision 2030 and the current operational challenges faced by Riyadh and
Jeddah International Airports, it is imperative to transform the way the airport community operates. The project focuses on the definition and implementation of initiatives that target the operational improvement of the inefficiencies detected at both airports to reach the Future Operational State based on target values for the main Key Performance Indicators (i. e Taxi times and On-Time Performance) |

Overview (resum en anglès): | |
In light of the operational inefficiencies identified at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this project aims to conduct a Cost-Benefit Analysis resulting from the implementation of 58 initiatives related to airport operational improvements, with the objective of ensuring the continuous support from all stakeholders involved in the process.
Firstly, an assessment of the costs and benefits associated with the implementation of the set of initiatives is carried out, taking into consideration the start date and the duration of their execution. However, given the high number of initiatives to be implemented, the complexity of engaging multiple stakeholders, and the need to estimate various inputs during the analysis, the results for the Cost-Benefit Analysis are presented as a function of different scenarios influenced by two fundamental variables: the Traffic Forecast and the Discount Rate applied. For each Traffic scenario, a global result is presented, representing the total costs and benefits incurred in the implementation of the 58 initiatives. Additionally, a sensitivity analysis is performed for 6 different scenarios based on the applied discount rate, providing the corresponding Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) values for each stakeholder, and enabling a more precise and detailed performance assessment. Finally, the results obtained for the different scenarios are compared, and the most significant findings are highlighted. |
