The Master Thesis aims to establish a robust framework for the design verification of SC Light UAS in line with EASA regulations. The focal point is crafting a compliance matrix to link SC Light UAS specifications with Specific Operational Risk Assessment (SORA) elements, ensuring design compliance with safety standards and regulations.
The project starts with an overview of SC Light UAS and pertinent EASA regulations, laying the groundwork for understanding design verification's significance in UAS projects. The methodology involves a detailed analysis of SC Light UAS specifications, correlating them with SORA components and defining necessary robustness levels. It also addresses the identification and proposition of Means of Compliance (MoC) and their customization for specific projects. The practical application of the compliance matrix is showcased through an in-depth case study, demonstrating its implementation in a real UAS design verification project and discussing outcomes and feedback. Future enhancements and continuous collaboration with EASA for updates and improvements are also highlighted, emphasizing the matrix's role in advancing UAS safety and design integrity. The student will be working full time (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM) mostly dedicated at writing the master thesis. |
