Objectives:

The first objective of this work is to develop a detailed schedule for day-to-day operations of the RITA mission. The second objective is to develop the 3Cat-8 mission Concept of Operations, by determining the potential areas of interest, and maximizing the mission's outcome by considering all the system budgets.

Description:

This bachelor's thesis aims to conduct an analysis of the current missions of the NanoSatellite and Payload Laboratory (UPC NanoSatLab). The scope of the work is twofold: first, the RITA Payload operations scheduled will be designed. Then, a comprehensive Concept of Operations for the 3Cat-8 mission will be developed, considering the data, link and power budgets, for maximizing the scientific outcome. This encompasses the exploration of mission-critical Areas of Interest and an evaluation of Ground Station accessibility for data retrieval, as well as optimization of experiment execution and power management. Additionally, the frequency of contacts between the 3Cat-8 satellite and the PoCat constellation will be analysed for the establishment of a Federated Satellite System.

This will be achieved through Mission Analysis for CubeSat design and operations, using the mission analysis software Systems Tool Kit and Matlab.

Expected results:

The expected results are the complete analysis of both missions, their aproppriate simulation and analyze the utility of them.
