| The last release of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) laboratory software tool (gLAB) on November 2024 incorporates the ability to perform multiconstellation/multifrequency positioning based on GNSS signals.
The proposed work is targeted to implement an automatic processing of GNSS measurements on a regular and systematic basis using gLAB in command line mode. The automatic processing would be realized through shell scripts to be developed by the student. The objective of the programs is to allow users with little experience to process GNSS multiconstellation data files from pre-defined time periods in an easy and quick. The objective of the processing based on gLAB is focused in the determination of 1) the precise coordinates of a static ground receiver and 2) the vertical wet troposphere content affecting GNSS signals. The gLAB performance based on multiconstellation observations will be assessed during the study, comparing the output results achieved by means of the previously developed tool with reference products available by official agencies for GNSS monitoring like the International GNSS Service (IGS). In particular, the improvement of using a multiconstellation approach in front of a single constellation solution will be analyzed. Work plan: 1) Getting familiar with the new release of gLAB v6. 2) Using the Graphical User Interface of gLAB to derive the configuration for the command-line mode. 3) Observations and precise products required to achieve a multiconstelation precise positioning. 4) Implementing the scripts to process multicontellation GNSS data files from a pre-defined time period. 5) Accuracy analysis of precise positioning from gLAB with single and multi-constellation data. 6) Assessment of wet troposphere delay in GNSS signals derived from gLAB at different locations. |
