Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
In this Master's thesis, the student will develop a ground-based autopilot system for a drone, utilizing RC communications for control. Unlike conventional setups where the autopilot is onboard the drone-directly interfacing with motors and servos while transmitting telemetry to the ground-this approach relocates the autopilot logic to a ground station, which will send control commands via RC signals.

The project will also involve designing and implementing a telemetry system using Wi-Fi technology, deployed on a small System-on-Chip (SoC) device to relay real-time flight data. This work will encompass both hardware and software development, including the integration of control algorithms, communication protocols, and system testing.

Orientació a l'estudiant:
The candidate should have a strong background in Python programming and experience with Arduino development. A solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, middleware protocols, and Wi-Fi, is also required.
Since the project involves an SoC device, experience with embedded programming (e.g., ESP32, Raspberry Pi) could be beneficial.
