Using linear programming, a departure manager (DMAN) will be modeled to optimise departure slot allocation, minimising idle times (on the taxiways) at EGLL. Specific KPIs will be identified to evaluate the performance of the proposed solution. In particular, operational costs, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and the fairness of the solution with respect to a first-in/first-served solution will be computed.
