Tipus: Individual

Lloc de realització: ERASMUS

Paraules clau:
Cubesat, Electronic design

Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
This project focuses on the design and analysis of low-current measurement systems for ionospheric plasma sensors used in cubesat missions, inspired by the instrumentation of the compact ionospheric probe. The work includes the study of the operating principles of sensors such as the retarding potential analyzer (RPA) and the ion drift meter (IDM), with emphasis on the electronic techniques required to measure currents in the nano-and micro-ampere range. A laboratory prototype will be developed to implement and validate a suitable current measurement approach. The project will also analyse key performance aspects such as noise, resolution, and accuracy, and evaluate how these limitations affect the quality of plasma measurements.
