Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
Sea turtles Caretta Caretta have been the object of study and protection on our
Mediterranean coasts. The CRAM Foundation is a key care and research center for the
protection and recovery of this species. It is within this field where our work is located.
Our work focuses on the development, design, construction, and maintenance of a
quarantine tank for newborn turtles of the Caretta Caretta species.
In this project it is mentioned, treated, and analyzed all the parameters and conditions
that must be considered to maintain the most optimal conditions possible to favor a fast
recuperation of the animal. In this sense, the guidelines of the head-starting program,
authors and professionals from the CRAM veterinary area involved will be followed.
Throughout the work, the physical-chemical parameters are exposed, as well as sizing,
construction and material conditions that must be considered when starting up a tank for
newborn turtles.
Once designed, the installation is started up at different times to gradually adjust the
difficulties and preserve and stabilize the operating mechanisms.
In the annexes, the physical characteristics of sea turtles are put into context, the
situation they¿re currently living in and the importance of their conservation, that
globally, is the objective for which it is carried out.
