Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
L’economia blava, també anomenada creixement blau, és una
estratègia a llarg termini que té per objectiu donar suport al
creixement sostenible del sector marítim, aprofitant el seu
potencial per a la innovació i el creixement. La Unió Europea
(UE) ho defineix com una política transversal que ha
d’acompanyar la Política Marítima Integrada, promulgada l’any
2007. Engloba totes les activitat econòmiques desenvolupades en
l'entorn marítim o que utilitzen els seus recursos: pesca,
aqüicultura, construcció naval, turisme, energies renovables,
entre d’altres.
Catalunya ha desenvolupat la seva pròpia eina de governança
integrada del sector marítim, a través de l’Estratègia Marítima
de Catalunya 2030, aprovada el mes de juny de 2018. Aquest
document es planteja com a objectiu per 2030, que ‘Catalunya
desenvolupi plenament el potencial d’economia blava del seu
espai marítim, tot garantint l’equilibri social i territorial,
sobre la base d’uns ecosistemes resilient, biodiversos i
plenament funcionals que generin serveis a la societat de la
màxima qualitat’.
Per avançar en aquest objectiu cal delimitar aquest sector de
l’economia blava a Catalunya, avui encara nou, cal identificar-
ne els actors, l’activitat i els projectes, per tal de poder
millorar la seva gestió.
L’objectiu d’aquest TFG és avançar en aquesta identificació en
el marc del CREDA, que ja està treballant en col·laboració amb
la Direcció General de Pesca i Afers Marítims, per a aquesta
finalitat. El TFG inclou un anàlisi del sector d'economia blava
a Catalunya en general, analitzant específicament la comarca
del Garraf. Aquesta coamrca s'utilitzarà com a cas d’estudi per
a la implementació de l’economia blava, donat el seu fort
vincle amb diversos sectors econòmics relacionats amb el mar.
El TFG requereix d’un revisió de la documentació disponible
sobre el tema, una anàlisi de les bases de dades que puguin
incloure informació sobre els sectors implicats per extreure el
grans indicadors, així com entrevistes a actors rellevants que
permetin definir el potencial i la viabilitat de l’economia
blava a la comarca del Garraf.

Overview (resum en anglès): In the development of this Final Degree Thesis, based on an analysis of the Catalan region of Garraf, located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, we will discuss the origin, importance of the strategies and tools used in the blue economy. The current work is to study the feasibility of developing a blue economy project to Garraf. Focusing on blue growth seen as the healthy maintenance and sustainable management of marine ecosystems to be efficient in the production of goods and services essential to an economy based on the seas and oceans. Therefore, given that the evolution of the seas and coasts have been subject to the changes that have taken place in their environment, the need arises to carry out an analysis and subsequent formulation of development strategies and integration of the different aspects of direct relationship between the seas, coasts and ports of the municipalities that make up this region with sustainability, biodiversity and the impact this has on fisheries, aquaculture, tourism and leisure. Focusing on the greater importance of the region in the tourism sector due to the optimal weather conditions throughout the year, the marine and fishing history that surrounds this environment and the cultural richness of the same. It is about incorporating blue growth strategies in the different aquatic sectors which are part of Garraf, stating the importance of promoting the healthy, safe and sustainable development of the seas as a capacity to offer added value to the fisheries, aquaculture and tourism, generating work and prosperity. The main results obtained during the present research approve the viability of a blue economy model in the region, although, as commented in the conclusions, it is necessary to redirect the situation of some sectors.
