Descripció del contingut i pla d'activitats:
Avaluació de l'efecte de dos formulats de micorrizes i/o trichodermes en Cynara cardunculus var. scolymus aplicats en el moment de la plantació. Es realitzarà el seguiment a camp des de la plantació de les carxoferes fins al final de collita de diversos paràmetres: brotació, producció, aspectes fisiològics, plagues i malalties. Amb l'objectiu de concloure quin sistema d'aplicació te un efecte més positiu en la plantació

Overview (resum en anglès): The ‘Blanca de Tudela’ artichoke is one of the most important crops in the Baix Llobregat due to the high yield obtained. The plant reproductive material presents a big heterogeneity and a lack of qualitative selection implies the presence of physiopathies and degenerations in the crop. It also reduces its economic and productive performance. In order to reduce the environmental impact of the use of phytosanitary products, alternatives have been sought for the productive improvement of artichokes. The aims of the trial were both, to study the effects of two commercial products based on mycorrhizal fungi and Trichoderma sp. registered as biostimulants, one applied in tablet form at the soil at the same time of planting and the other sprayed with a bar to the aerial part of the artichoke two weeks after planting. The effects were studied on the production of artichoke and the physiological state of the plant (SPAD index, yield of PSII and fIPAR) and also checked whether the sprayed application was as effective as the tablet treatment. The results suggested that none of the biostimulants affected production but the vigor of the plant did. The more vigorous plants produced earlier but the cumulative production at the end of the campaign did not differ from the plants with medium and low vigor. Physiological parameters did not indicate an improvement in the photosynthetic activity of artichokes inoculated with biostimulants. At the end of the crop a greater mycorrhizal colonization was seen in the treated plants, regardless of the biostimulant applied. Artichoke studies with the use of mycorrhizal fungus preparations and Trichoderma sp. are scarce and even though they have shown to favour plant growth in other crops, this has not been seen in this study, perhaps due to environmental and crop management conditions. The beneficial effect of mycorrhizal fungi and Trichoderma sp. is promising in conditions of abiotic and biotic stress and is little studied in long-live crops such as artichokes.
