| Description:
The project consists in developing a proposal for a clean room facility that complies with ESA, ECSS and ISO standards. The clean room use case include but are not limited to payload assembly integration and testing. This project is in the context of the development of an experiment for the International Space Station (ISS) by the Space Exploration Lab. Objectives: The objective of this thesis is to develop a technically sound and standards-aligned proposal for a clean room facility at EETAC. This includes defining the appropriate ISO classification standard that will comply with the ISS experiment project and future EETAC projects. Additionally, the project aims to evaluate feasibility within the constraints of an academic environment, balancing compliance, cost, scalability, and long-term sustainability to create a realistic roadmap for future implementation. Tasks to be done: · Determination and selection of applicable ISO standards taking into consideration ISS experiment and future EETAC needs. · Stakeholder analysis (past and future possible projects) in order to frame the scope of this project. · Feasibility assessment of the chosen standard level clean room in UPC premises. · Integrated implementation analysis addressing financial investment, time requirements, equipment procurement, infrastructure adaptation, and operational resources. |
