| Optical networks management relies on centralized, rule-based SDN controllers. Agentic AI introduces autonomous reasoning, multi-step planning, and direct API-level interaction with network elements-turning closed-loop automation from a theoretical goal into an operational reality. The objectives of this thesis will be to design an overall architecture for the control and management of optical networks through agentic AI and its experimental validation in a Proof of Concept (PoC). | |
